Community Efforts for the No Out-of-Pocket Payment Day

Mady Lewchanin (Dental Assistant & Organizer of the 2024 Fourth of July Free Day): “For our 4th of July 2024 event, I wanted to create a unique and welcoming experience for patients of all ages to encourage rebooking and promote consistent dental hygiene. It was incredibly rewarding to see children smiling and to receive such positive feedback from parents. I believe every child deserves access to quality dental care and oral health education, no matter their financial situation, and I’m truly grateful for the opportunity to help provide that!”

Rakshita Gorrepati (Pre-Dental Shadowing Student): “I have had the privilege of working with Dr. Hansford on several ‘free days’ throughout my college years for underserved community members. It has been a deeply rewarding experience to be part of a team that provided essential dental care to those who might not otherwise have access. I hope to help even more community members at this event!”

Rakshita Gorrepati is a pre-dental student at the University of Georgia and member of the class of 2026.
