Opinion Column: Buc-ee’s had to be born in Texas

  • The Buc-ee’s along I-75, near Warner Robins, is more than a gas station and convenience store. It’s a tourist destination. The first Stuckey’s was in Eastman. I was told the second location was in Jesup, on U.S. 301 North.

    I’m not sure how many cattle Arch Aplin III and Don Wasek owned — if any — in 1982. But I can tell you the Texans had a humongous herd …
