Despite youth, boys wrestling continues to set lofty goals

After a 21-6 record in his first season as the Oglethorpe County boys wrestling coach, Steve Mason must turn elsewhere for production. “We have approximately 30 young men, but a lot of new wrestlers, a lot of them that have actually never wrestled before,” he said.

OCHS volleyball team to play for state title

The Oglethorpe County volleyball team will play for the Class A title at noon Wednesday. The third-seeded Patriots (31-8), who have won 20 matches in a row, will face Bremen, which is the No. 1 seed in the tournament and is 36-7. The match is at the LakePoint Sports Center in Cartersville.
