Valedictorian Abby Horton left her classmates with a reminder to remember the present and not to “chase success the way the world defines it” at Oglethorpe County High School graduation last Friday.

Elizabeth Palmer was named valedictorian of Oglethorpe County High School’s graduating class at 2022 Senior Honors Night on Tuesday in the school auditorium. “It’s been four years of good times,” Palmer said. Her cumulative GPA is 100.3.

Beverley Levine is quick to spread the credit. Oglethorpe County Schools’ graduation rate of 94% continues the district’s streak of surpassing the state average, which was 83.7% in 2021, according to graduation data released by Georgia Department of Education on Oct. 21.
