OCHS STAR student is Watkins’ latest accolade

Levine named incoming Rotary Club president

Beverley Levine has a passion for the Rotary Club and a strong commitment to helping the club grow.  With a decrease in membership due to “aging” members, Levine said the club was “in danger of folding,” leading her to step into the role of president, starting in July.

Westmacott plans to expand Rotary’s reach beyond Oglethorpe County

Jean Westmacott has breathed life into clay countless times, and now plans to do the same with the Oglethorpe County Rotary Club.   Westmacott, a renowned portrait sculptor, was appointed as the Rotary Club’s newest president on July 7.

News Roundup: Rotary club holds golf tournament, more

  The Oglethorpe Rotary Club is sponsoring a golf tournament at 9 a.m. Nov. 18 at Double Oaks Golf Club in Commerce.   Prizes will be paid for winners through third place. There will also be contests for the longest drive and the closest to the pin.
