Maxeys Christmas parade returns for seventh year

The Maxeys Christmas parade will bring holiday spirit to Maxeys for its seventh consecutive year on Saturday, Dec. 6.  This is Heather Parham’s fourth year organizing the parade, and this year, she’s doing things a little differently.  The marketplace and food trucks will open promptly at 10 a.m.

Maxeys Christmas parade has new twists

The Maxeys Christmas Parade, back for its fourth year, will feature an acapella group, homemade gingerbread houses and antiques for holiday giving in addition to the parade, parade organizer Heather Parham said.   She spent part of her childhood in Maxeys, before moving back in 2020.

Bigger turnout expected at parade

This year’s Maxeys Christmas Parade is expecting larger numbers of spectators after COVID-19 limited attendance in 2020.   In 2019, the parade’s inaugural year, about 75 people (including participants) attended.
