Editorial: What’s with the mail?

“Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds.”     While those words are often quoted as the U.S. Postal Service’s motto, the mail service has no official slogan.

Post office consolidation causes delivery issues

Lincoln Lindsey, a postal clerk who has worked at the Lexington Post Office the last two years, is frustrated with the recent consolidation of Oglethorpe County mail delivery with the new Athens Sorting and Delivery Center (S&DC).   “As the kids would say, it’s been an epic fail,” Lindsey said.
