Here are tips to stop insects this summer

Hot weather — as Oglethorpe County is experiencing — can lead to more bugs. During the summer, temperatures at night stay elevated, allowing for insect larvae to grow faster, said Elmer Gray, UGA entomologist and Arnoldsville resident.

UGA Extension launches blog, youth programs

After hiring Amber Waldroup as the new program assistant last year, engagement and enrollment in clubs has peaked, and with a new digital platform to share updates, the extension’s 4-H agent Marcus Eason said the office has been busier than previous years.
