The Oglethorpe County Board of Education approved personnel recommendations for the 2025-2026 school year during its Tuesday meeting, including a new literacy coach for the elementary school.
Rebecca Crook will take the role of instructional literacy coach at OCES. She previously worked in the same position for Barrow County Schools.
“We had several good candidates, but were super excited she accepted the position,” Superintendent Beverley Levine said.
The board approved, for the 2025-2026 school year, all elementary school personnel recommendations, with two abstentions; all middle school recommendations, with one abstention, and all high school personnel recommendations.
