The Golden Pantry in Lexington reopened Wednesday after a lightning strike caused electrical damage to the store.
Marketing director Katie Morris stated in an email that lightning hit the building on Friday, July 19. She added Wednesday morning that “we are still running some final tests with fuel dispensers.”
No employees or customers were injured. The building sustained electrical damage, which required closing the store for several days.
“We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause our valued customers,” Morris wrote Monday. “We appreciate the community’s understanding and support during this unexpected situation.”
