Turkey season opens Saturday, March 30 on private land and a week later for public lands.

Only one gobbler can be taken per hunter per day and a total of two for the season, which ends on May 15, according to the Georgia Department of Natural Resources.

All turkey hunters are required to have a harvest record for the current season, and harvested turkeys must be reported through the Georgia Game Check, according to the Georgia Department of Natural Resources.
