Mr. Andrew Lee Wilker, age 88 of Maxeys, formerly of Elberton, entered his eternal rest on Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2023.
Wilker, a long-term resident of Maxeys, was born to Chessie Wilker of Elberton, on Jan. 22, 1935. He was the oldest son of Chessie Walker and brother to Jimmy Hester (deceased), and Robert Hester (deceased). A lover of fishing and hunting, Andrew lived a long life and retired from the Oglethorpe County School System as a bus driver.
Andrew Wilker leaves behind a loving wife of 41 years, Regina Wilker of Maxeys, Georgia. Wille (Wendy) of Arkansas, Lisa Wilker and Alvin Wilker of Maxeys, Andrea Wilker of Athens, and Laurens Jackson (Deceased) of Maxeys, grandchildren Caleb (Bianca), Tony Christin (Hunter), Juan William, Camren, Cayden, Ashton, Matthew, Rebecca and Elijah, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. We will miss his talents, joy and spirit.
Memorial Service was held at 1 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 24 at Mack's Funeral Home — Elberton Chapel.
