Charles Fields, 80, of Coldwater Road, Dewy Rose, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2024.

 

Fields was born Oct. 12, 1943 in Lexington to William Fields and Susie McElhannon Fields. He was a retired machine operator from Tenneco Inc., was a U.S. Army veteran and member of the American Legion.

 

He is survived by two sisters and brother-in-law: Nellie Noggle Monteen and Morris Mattox; brother and sister-in-law: Vernon and Barbara Fields; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces-nephews, great-great-nieces and nephews and a special daughter-in-law: Lisa Starrett and her two daughters and grandkids and stepson: Scott Coile.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents: William Fields and Susie McElhannon Fields, a brother: W.T. Fields, sister: Kathleen Fields and his wife: Charlotte Starrett Fields.

 

Graveside funeral services to celebrate Charles’ life will be held 4 p.m., Sunday Sept. 22 at Pentecost Chapel Congregational Holiness Church, Stevens Grove Road Lexington, Georgia, 30648.
