Dean Smith Jones, of Athens, died April 4, 2025. The funeral service was 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 8 at Jones Funeral Chapel. Pastor Kenneth Cooper was the eulogist. Interment was in Fork Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.
Survivors include her daughter Sharena Smith; siblings Katie Freeman, Oscar Smith, Josie Rhodes and Vincent (Navita) Smith; nieces Barbara Taylor, Cynthia Smith, Sharon Taylor, Jessica Smith and Crystal (Chester) Rucker; nephews Willie E. (Nikka) Taylor and Roderick Taylor; grandson Anarian Starks; other relatives and friends.
Jones Funeral Chapel of Crawford was in charge of services.
