Donna Meshea Mobley Foreman passed away on January 22, 2022. She was born on November 25, 1966, to Don Edward Mobley of Winnsboro, South Carolina, and Magdalene Collins Mobley of Athens, Georgia, formerly of Lexington, Georgia.
Donna spent the earliest years of her life in Lexington. The family moved to Winnsboro, where she attended kindergarten through eighth grade. Upon returning to Georgia, she attended and graduated from Clarke Central High school in Athens in 1985. She continued her education at Tennessee State University, Nashville, Tennessee, from which she graduated in 1989.
After college, Donna moved to Decatur, Georgia, and worked in the field of communication. There she met and married Rufus Wendell Foreman in 1994. From this union, she became the devoted mother of two wonderful children, a son Rufus James (Lyric) and a daughter Mya Nicole. She had a granddaughter, Taryn J’layah Foreman, whom she simply adored.
Donna also leaves to cherish her memory a loving and devoted mother, Magdalene Mobley; a brother Kenneth; a sister Melanie; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Donna was preceded in death by her father, Don Mobley, and her grandparents, Will J. and Helen Mobley and Lonnie and Pearlene Collins.
A memorial service for Donna will be held on March 26, 2022, at Piney Grove Baptist Church, Comer, Georgia, at 1:00 p.m.
