Dwight Wesley Brown
Dwight Wesley Brown, 82, of Winterville, died on Aug. 1, 2025.
He loved Jesus Christ wholeheartedly, cherished his family and modeled integrity, generosity, joy and lovingkindness.
He was the son of the late C.W. and Mary Randolph Brown. He is survived by his beloved and devoted wife of 60 years, Linda Brown, by his brother and sister-in-law, Ron and Dianne Brown, by his sons and daughters-in-law, Scott and Kristin Brown, Ken and Haley Brown, and Chris and Angie Brown, and by his grandchildren, Brayden, Josie and husband Zane (Price), Maddie, Logan, Kennedy, Brinley and Nolen.
Dwight was a lifelong resident of Oglethorpe County and a graduate of Oglethorpe County High School, class of 1960. A builder, he founded and operated Dwight Brown Construction and Asphalt Paving.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 5 at Winterville First Baptist Church. The family will receive friends for visitation from 6-8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 4 at Lord & Stephens Funeral Homes, East, in Athens.
