Ellie Mae Goolsby of Lexington, died Jan. 1, 2025. The funeral service was at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 11 at New Bethlehem Baptist Church. Pastor Michael Gresham was the eulogist.
Interment was in the Goolsby Family Cemetery.
Survivors include her children Michael (Sharon) Goolsby and Jennifer Goolsby; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sisters Laurine Mattox, Geraldine (Robert James) Dalton, Jackie Milkins, Rita Kennedy and Ruby Thornton; brothers Walter (Betty) Goolsby, Harry (Jeanne) Goolsby, Jesse (Peggy) Goollsby, Jerry (Jobeth) Goolsby, Alex Goolsby, Bobby (Earnestine) Goolsby, Moses Goolsby and Charlie Thornton Jr.; aunts Mozelle Long and Katherine Bell; other relatives and friends.
Jones Funeral Chapel was in charge of services.
