Ms. Emma "Jean" Cooper Swajger, age 93, passed away Sept. 28, 2026.
A native of Crawford, Jean was the daughter of the late William David and late Viola Reynolds Cooper. Jean was a self-employed seamstress for 60-plus years. She was known for slipcovers and drapery work.
She joined the U.S. Navy at 18 years old, and met her husband Fred Swajger. While in the Navy, she served in the Korean War. Jean was a believer in God and was a member of Living Water Baptist Church.
Survivors include her children; Sherry (Mike) Tyndell, Scott Swajger; sisters; Ann Lundebo, Jo Smith; grandchildren; Teresa (Travis) Gillespie, Jeffrey (Melissa) Tyndell, Sommer (DJ) Bognar; 12 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great grandchildren.
Jean was preceded in death by her husband Fred Elmer Swajger, grandson Brian Tyndell and siblings Ellen Coffee, Gaynell Floyd and Barbara Goss.
No services are planned at this time.
