Mrs. Felicia Brown Appling, 52, of Athens, died Feb. 13, 2026.
The funeral service was at 2 p.m. Feb. 21 at New Bethlehem Baptist Church, with Pastor James Wymbs, eulogist. Interment and Dove Release Ceremony was at East Lawn Memorial Cemetery, Athens.
Survivors include her husband, Tony Appling; mother, Carolyn Valentine; father, Willie Harper; daughter, Kenya Luke; step-daughter, Ketonnia (Shamyla) Vereen; stepson, Kentonio Appling; sisters, Janet (Dedrick) Barnett, Keana Flanigan, Kenyata Taylor, and Kendria Taylor; brothers, Gary (Ebonie) Harper and Jei-Juana “Kea” Harper; raised as a sister, Ivory Brown; grandchildren, Raelyn, Kayne and A’maya; aunts, uncles; and other relatives and friends
