James Cooper Jr., of Comer died Jan. 4, 2025. The funeral service was at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 12 at Springfield Baptist Church. Pastor Theodis Johnson was the eulogist.
Interment was in the Moon Family Cemetery.
Survivors include his children Stephanie Rucker, Rico (Katrina) Stevens, Tammie Wise, Jeffrey (Bonnie) Howard, April (Binkeve) Walton and Latisha (George) Stone; siblings George Cooper Sr., Barbara Smith, Willie Lee Cooper, Carl (Sandra) Cooper, Lillian Milan and Sarah Shaw; 20 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; special friend Alma Jean Willingham; and other relatives and friends.
Jones Funeral Chapel was in charge of services.
