Jane Dominick Pettis, age 86, of Crawford, passed away on Jan. 31, 2026 at Thompson Health and Rehabilitation.
Born on Oct. 22, 1939, she was the daughter of the late James Dominick and Nancy Stokely Dominick. Jane was a 1957 graduate of Oglethorpe County High School and spent most of her life living in Crawford, where she was a familiar and respected member of the community.
Jane dedicated 20 years of service to the personnel department at William Carter Company. Following her retirement, she briefly served as a personnel manager at Gold Kist in Athens.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Greg Pettis; and her brothers, Danny Dominick and Jimmy Dominick.
She is survived by her son, Scott Pettis; three nephews, Jacob Dominick, Benjamin Dominick and Joseph Dominick; her first cousin, Edd Lowe; and many cousins and friends who will cherish her memory.
Jane will be remembered for her character, her dedication to her work, and the love and loyalty she shared with her family and friends. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, perseverance and quiet strength that will not be forgotten.
