Lamar Sims, 51, of Elberton died Sept.18, 2024.
The funeral service was held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 24 at New Hope Baptist Church, with Pastor Rufus Whitlock Sr., eulogist and pastor T.R. Thompson, officiating pastor. Interment was in the church cemetery.
Survivors include his wife Ramona Harper; daughters Chiynah (Erin Parson) Sims and Sanquonthian Ballard; son Lametrese (Kamry) Sims; stepchildren Kyla Hubbard, Yara Wright and Koda Johnson; sisters Bobby (Donald) Raines, Stephanie Fleming, Patricia (Stacy) Mack and Melissa (Ramon) Gartrell; brothers James Fleming Jr., Jason Fleming and Anthony (Sylvanne) Sims; five grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
Jones Funeral Chapel of Crawford was in charge of services.
