Larry Thomas Prather, cherished husband, father, grandfather and brother, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2025 at the age of 70.
Born in Athens, he was a son of the late Oscar Prather and Bernice Willoughby Prather. Prather was an avid outdoorsman. He loved hunting, fishing, camping and always enjoyed a relaxing trip to the mountains. He was also very handy and enjoyed showcasing his artistic side through woodworking and painting.
Prather always made sure to stay up to date on current events as he never missed watching the news on TV.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Teresa Ogle Prather and his siblings, Bobby, Franklin, Herbert and Alice.
Survivors include his children Tiffany (Joe) and Rusty (Alicia); beloved granddaughter McKenna; sister Cathy and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15 at Grove Chapel Church Cemetery.
