Mrs. Lucy Etta Thornton Geter
Lucy E. Thornton Geter, 95, of Elberton, died Aug. 30, 2025.
The funeral service was Saturday, Sept. 6 at 1 p.m. at New Erza Baptist Church in Elberton with the Rev. Thomas Jackson, eulogist.
Interment was in the Green Lawn Cemetery. Survivors include her children Melvin (Barbara) Geter, Mack (Alesia) Geter and Nelson (Pamela) Geter; 10 grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great grandchildren; caregiver Mary Bowman and other relatives and friends.
Jones Funeral Chapel was in charge of services.
