Melissa Haynes of Athens died May 26, 2025.
The funeral service was at 1 p.m. Friday, May 30 at Cornerstone Church. Bishop David McNease was the eulogist.
Interment was in East Lawn Memorial Cemetery. Survivors include her mother Rosetta Howard, daughters Alisha Haynes, Shawntina Burgess and Cathy Burgess, son Terald Burgess, sisters Lovina Howard and Sheba Terrell, brothers James Howard and Andrew Howard, god sisters Mary Holmes, Sabrina Bolton and Jennifer Faust, grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
Jones Funeral Chapel was in charge of services.
