The OCHS boys wrestling team will compete in the individual Area 8-A tournament this weekend at Elbert County.
The top four wrestlers from each weight class will advance to the sectional tournament at Jeff Davis.
“We hope to start peaking this week and carry that for the next three weeks as we finish the season,” OCHS boys wrestling coach Steve Mason said. “We have a very tough area, but our kids are tough and will be ready for the challenge.”
OCMS girls on win streak for playoffs
The Oglethorpe County Middle School girls basketball team takes a four-game win streak into the playoffs.
OCMS has defeated Prince Avenue, Loganville Christian, Westminster Christian and Bethlehem Christian heading into its first-round game at George Walton at 5:30 p.m. Thursday.
The OCMS boys basketball team will host Bethlehem Christian at 4:30 p.m. Thursday in the first round of the playoffs. Admission is $5.
