Oglethorpe County’s boys and girls track teams won the Region 8-A Division I track titles last week.
Elin Turner was the overall point winner for the girls, winning the triple jump, the 100-meter hurdles and the 300-meter hurdles.
Nicah Pass was the overall point winner for the boys, taking first in the high jump and as part of the 4x100 relay team.
Both teams will send several individuals to the sectional meet, which will be held at Bremen on Saturday.
Girls qualifiers include Kenzie Henderson, Jaliyah Turner, Tori Clark, Nora Turner, Sydnie Henderson, Reese Campbell, Emily Wisham, Paris Crowder, Zharia Burgess, Karman Bermudez, Mya Jewell and Georgia Turner.
This was the boys’ fourth region title in five years. The 4x100 and 4x200 teams each set school records, with the 4x100 team finishing first in 42.40 and the 4x200 team winning in 1:29.80.
The relay team members include Pass, Paris Crowder, Ke’Mauri Brown and Jordan Johnson.
Other sectional qualifiers include Darius Heard, Peyton Prince, Justin Jackson, Bryce Frankel, Preston Pittard, Caleb Stephens, Josh Garrett, John Adams, Luke Holbrooks, Cory Tillman, Josiah Young, O'Maury Huggs, Keyvon Gresham and Brandon McCommons.
