O’Maury Huggs rushed for 156 yards and three touchdowns, and scored another through the air, but Providence Christian defeated Oglethorpe County 38-35 on Friday night.
Payton Prince added 146 yards rushing and one touchdown, and threw the touchdown pass to Huggs.
The Patriots (0-9, 0-5 in Region 8-A Division I) scored to cut the lead to 38-35 with a minute left in the game, but couldn’t recover the onside kick.
Huggs also had 12 tackles, including one for loss. Dalton Hilley had 11 tackles, Jackson Tatum had 10 tackles and Demarcus Meadows had six tackles, including one for loss.
The Patriots rushed for 311 yards.
OCHS hosts Banks County (1- 8, 1-4) in the final game of the season at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
