Oglethorpe County’s Walker Compton, a freshman, finished second (106 pounds) in the Walnut Grove Invitational on Saturday. Kendon Brown (157) was third, Luke Holbrooks (138) and Christian Harris (165) were fourth, and Logan Bruce (144) and Ethan McLean (165) were fifth.

Coming off their first losing season (6-18) since 2019-20, the Oglethorpe County girls basketball team is looking to bounce back, led by strong freshman and senior classes.
