Arnoldsville residents upset about city water

Arnoldsville resident A.J. Herrera posted a picture of “greenish yellow” bathtub water in an Oglethorpe County Facebook group last month, sparking a discussion about water quality in the city.

Belle, a red-tailed hawk, calmly watched while tethered to her perch as Ben Hill, a falconer from Arnoldsville, told his story. Though Belle seemed docile, Hill made sure to emphasize that the hawk is not a pet, and falconry is an art.

Program will help Arnoldsville residents with water bills

Help is coming for Arnoldsville residents who are behind on their water bills.   The city unanimously passed a proposal on Oct. 21 to offer the Low Income Household Water Assistance Program (LIHWAP), which provides funds to assist low-income households with water and wastewater bills.
