Commission heads back to room for next meeting

The Board of Commissioners will return to its meeting room for the meeting scheduled for Monday, April 6, Chairman Jay Paul confirmed Tuesday.

Paul focuses on protecting county’s ‘quality of life’

Jay Paul has a to-do list for the upcoming year, but his top priority is something bigger.  “My goal is to protect and to preserve our quality of life,” said Paul, chair of the Oglethorpe County Board of Commissioners.

New radio tower in Glade should boost fire, police communication

A new radio tower in the Glade community has been constructed and is projected to be operational early next year.  The tower, which was approved by the Oglethorpe County Board of Commissioners in July, is intended to boost the signal for fire and emergency services in that area of Oglethorpe County.
