No inductions this summer, but OCHS sports hall is key

The Oglethorpe County High School Sports Hall of Fame was created in 2019 to show students that OCHS has a long history of stars and encourage athletes to achieve their dreams. “We have winners in our legacy,” former OCHS principal Susie Johnson said.

Forschler’s departure one of many for coaching staff

OCHS athletes ready to compete at the next level

Several Oglethorpe County High School seniors are preparing to take their athletic careers to the next level.  Emily and Madeleine Forschler will continue playing soccer together at South Georgia State College, while Miles Mason is set to wrestle at Truett McConnell University.

OCHS sports hall selects seven for 2022 class

Seven former Oglethorpe County High School athletes will soon join the ranks of other Patriot legends.

Patel gained experience, learned trust during first year as OCHS AD

Kris Patel is a man of many hats.   Patel wrapped up his first year as athletic director of Oglethorpe County High School in May, also balancing five classes, being a head coach and sponsoring an OCHS club.   As athletic director, Patel's schedule is much longer than a typical school day.

Rings, trophies and history: OCHS teams had successful year

It takes two hands to count the number of championships that Oglethorpe County High School athletes brought back to Lexington during this school year.

New helmets, jerseys part of Booster Club spending

Several county athletic teams will reap the benefits of a successful year of fundraising by the Oglethorpe County Athletic Booster Club.
