Oglethorpe County’s housing situation is expanding.
SRE Homes LLC, the developer of Mill Creek Meadows, a new subdivision on Arnoldsville Road, is ready to begin building homes.
The complex on Arnoldsville Road will have five houses, Oglethorpe County Code Compliance Officer Jeff Sharp said. The development includes 20 acres, though each house may not receive the same amount of space.
“Each lot is a minimum of an acre and a half,” he said. “Some are bigger, though.”
Adam Swann, an agent for SRE Homes LLC, said the developers haven’t decided on a price point for the houses.
He also couldn’t provide a timeline for when the houses would be complete, and he didn’t say when the homes would come on the market.
“To be honest, we haven’t settled on a price yet,” Swann said. “That’s a question for us going forward.”
The Oglethorpe County Board of Commissioners approved the subdivision during its meeting on July 11, 2022.
