Candidates for Oglethorpe County primary election. The last day to register to vote is April 22. Election is May 21.
The final day to register to vote or update your address for this year’s general primary is Monday, April 22.
Residents can register or check their voter status online at mvp.sos.ga.gov or visit the Board of Elections office at 41 Fairground Road in Lexington.
In addition, advance voting for the May 21 general primary will begin Monday, April 29 and end Friday, May 17.
Voting will be held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each week day at the elections office.
Registered voters must bring a valid photo ID to vote.
The elections office also is accepting applications for registered voters to have a ballot mailed to them. That deadline is Friday, May 10.
