Keyvon Gresham won the 110-meter hurdles and the 300 hurdles to lead the Oglethorpe County boys track team to victory in the Gary Mathews Invitational on Saturday.
Jordan Johnson won the 200, Corey Tilman won the 3,200 and the 4x100 relay team set a team mark in its victory.
Henderson twins spark girls track
Sydnie Henderson won the 400 and 800 meters, and Kenzie Henderson won the high jump to lead the OCHS girls track team to victory in the Gary Mathews Invitational on Saturday.
Emily Wisham won the 1,600 meters, Elin Turner won the 100-meter hurdles, 300 hurdles and the triple jump, and Jaliyah Turner won the long jump.
Graham continues scoring in losses
Clint Graham scored a goal, but Rabun County defeated the Oglethorpe County boys soccer team 3-1 on March 28.
The Patriots dropped an 8-1 decision to BASA on March 18, as Graham scored another goal.
OCHS is 2-11 overall and 0-7 in Region 8-A Division I.
The Patriots will host Putnam County on April 15.
Girls soccer splits with BASA, Rabun
The girls soccer team defeated BASA 1-0 in extra time on March 18, but dropped a 1-0 decision to Rabun County on March 28.
The Patriots are 7-5 overall and 3-4 in the region heading into senior night against Putnam County on April 15.
Baseball team drops series with Elbert
The Oglethorpe County baseball team is 9-13 and 4-8 in the region after three losses to Elbert County last week.
The Patriots dropped a 15-3 decision on March 25 and then lost a doubleheader 11-1 and 10-0 on March 28.
OCHS will host Banks County in a doubleheader at 5 and 7:30 p.m. Friday.
2025 football schedule released
The Oglethorpe County football team will play home games against East Hall (Aug. 22), Laney (Sept. 5), Athens Academy (Sept. 26), Rabun County (Oct. 10) and Providence Christian (Oct. 24) this fall.
The 2025 football schedule also includes games at Social Circle (Aug. 15), Washington-Wilkes (Aug. 29), Elbert County (Sept. 19), Commerce (Oct. 17) and Banks County (Oct. 31).
The Patriots will play at Lincoln County in the scrimmage on Aug. 8. The two off weeks are scheduled for Sept. 12 and Oct. 3.
The homecoming opponent hasn’t been decided.
