Royston’s Roberson wins Maxeys Model Mile 5K

    Travon Roberson, an 11-year-old from Royston, won the sixth annual Maxeys Model Mile 5K with a time of 16:29 on Saturday. 

     

    He was followed by Scotty Diesch of Athens, with a time of 17:11, and Domini Piscitelli of Colbert, with a time of 17:26. Kayla Ballew, of Watkinsville, was the top female winner with a time of 20:35. 

     

    Crawford’s Mark Stocks was fifth in 17:48 and Lexington’s Alex Compton was 10th in 19:20. Lexington’s Jake Turner was 12th in 20:01 and Stephens’ Mike Orlowsky was 13th in 20:05.
