Rodney Stanley Standard passed away peacefully on the evening of Monday, June 12th 2023, surrounded by loved ones. Rodney, or Rooster as he was so affectionately known to most, was born Nov. 29, 1940 in Jackson, GA, to the late Marvin S. Standard and Mildred Bowden Standard.

James Yipte Crowe, 74, of Veribest Road, Carlton, GA passed away Saturday, June 17, 2023 at his home.   Crowe was born Nov. 19, 1948 in Macon, GA to James Edward Crowe and Mary Frances Hightower Crowe. He was of the Baptist faith, an U.S. Navy Veteran and was a retired truck driver.

Robert Lee Thaxton, 80, of Rayle, GA, died on May 28, 2023. Born at home in the Upper Flatwoods Community of Oglethorpe County, he was the son of the late Robert Carl Thaxton and Pearl Palmer Thaxton. Lee was also preceded in death by his niece Carla Thaxton Brown.

Shirley Ann Brown, 86, of Colbert, Georgia, died June 11, 2023. Shirley was the daughter of Bartow Partain and Mary Ruth King Partain.  She was a member of Sonlight Baptist Church where she attended for the majority of her life.
