Pitts would like to open restaurant in six months

The transformation of the former Lexington Antique Mall into a Southern-style restaurant called the Lexington Public House is underway at 102 E. Main St.  The building has already received a new roof and plumbing. The next step for owner Ben Pitts is securing the necessary permits and applications.

Phase one of Crawford Village expected to be complete soon

Phase one of Crawford Village construction, including 26 two-bedroom, 2½-bath rental units, is expected to be complete in approximately 2-3 weeks.  All of Crawford Village, located near the intersection of Bunker Hill Road and Highway 78 and along Wheeler Circle, should be finished by 2030.

Another bridge replacement will change traffic patterns in Oglethorpe County, but this time, residents will have a few years to prepare.

Five homes being built in Pines at Grove Creek

New construction has sprung up in The Pines at Grove Creek. All 10 homes built last year and listed by Brittany Purcell & Associates in the 29-lot development off of Bunker Hill Road in Crawford have been sold.

Crawford Village stays on five-year time frame

Crawford Village, the mixed-use development at the intersection of Bunker Hill Road and Highway 78 expected to house hundreds, is on track with the loose timeline Patriot Construction set in place last year.    “We’re just working on it as we have time.
