The sixth annual Putts for Mutts, a golf tournament at Highland Walk Golf Course at Victoria Bryant State Park in Royston, raised a record $11,750 for MOAS on Nov. 8.
John Henzel, Mike Bona, Greg Hearn and Matt McRee won with a 54. The team of Dillon Faulkner, David Child, Josh Sorrells and Danny McComb finished second with a 58, and the team of Hannah Barger, Wayne Barger, Rick Walton and Rafiel Hernandez was third.
Logan Reynolds had the longest drive for the men; Hannah Barger won the women’s longest drive. Mike Bona was the super senior and Donovan Gardener was closest to the pin.
There were 82 players and 21 teams.
Cottage industry roundtable scheduled
The Chamber of Commerce from Oglethorpe and Madison counties will host a roundtable about the cottage food industry at R.G. Strickland Mercantile in Danielsville on Dec. 3.
The roundtable is scheduled for 8:30-10 a.m.
Chris Peasley of the Georgia Department of Agriculture will lead the discussion on the updated cottage food licensing regulations and how they impact businesses.
