The Oglethorpe County School System will receive $37,846.81 during Round 2 of Workforce Preparedness Grant funding, Sara Hughes, the director of Federal Programs, wrote in a release on Monday.

That pushes the total to more than $47,000 that will be awarded to Oglethorpe County schools for the first two rounds of funding.

The money will be used to provide STEM Camp spots to students, transportation to the camp, career exploration software and health care/EMS pathway equipment, Hughes wrote in the release.
