It is with great sadness that the family of Kevin Michael Armour announces his passing at his home.  He was born to the late Max and Gloria Armour of Philomath on May 9, 1967, in Dalton, Georgia.

David John Stewart was born in Spokane, Washington, on April 18, 1955.  He attended Sheridan Grade School until he transferred to Upper Columbia Academy for the fifth grade. He graduated from the academy in 1973 and received his Bachelor of Science degree from Walla Walla College in 1977.

Obituary: Susan Stokes Roberts

(March 11, 1949 - July 30, 2025) Susan Roberts was born in Lexington, Kentucky. Her parents had met at the University of Kentucky there. The story goes that her father, Frank, had spied a “pretty gal,” Doris Jeanne (Deje), playing the piano at a sorority party. The rest is history.

Dwight Wesley Brown, 82, of Winterville, died on Aug. 1, 2025.  He loved Jesus Christ wholeheartedly, cherished his family and modeled integrity, generosity, joy and lovingkindness.  He was the son of the late C.W. and Mary Randolph Brown.

Michael Smith, 69, of Carlton died July 21, 2025. The funeral service was at noon Saturday, July 26, 2025 at Fork Bethel Baptist Church with the Rev. Victor Appling, eulogist, and Pastor Christopher Watson, officiating.  Interment was in the church cemetery.

Gary Mark Palmer Sr. moved to his celestial home on July 20, 2025, at the age of 86. Gary was born on Jan. 6, 1939. He was born in the evening after his parents had spent the day moving to their new home, which was down the road from Okee’s family’s home in Flatwoods, Lexington.

Guy W. Lowe, 80, of Arnoldsville, husband of the late Carolyn W. Lowe, passed away on July 26, 2025. Born in Athens, he was the son of the late Pearl and Nell Lowe of Winterville.  Lowe retired from the University of Georgia after 37 years.
