Rayburn Lynn Shelnutt, of Carlton, passed away at his residence on Sept. 22, 2026, at the age of 47. He was born on Nov. 13, 1978, in Commerce, Georgia.  Rayburn was known for his work in construction, where he was self-employed.

Obituary: Dorothy Geneva Ross

Dorothy G. McElroy Ross, 82, of Atlanta, died Sept. 16, 2026.   The funeral service was 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 26 at Shiloh Baptist Church in Carlton, with Pastor Wyman McElroy Jr., eulogist and pastor Arthur Hubbard, officiant. Interment was in the church cemetery.
