Nominations are being accepted for the Oglethorpe County High School Sports Hall of Fame through May 2.
The hall recognizes individuals (athletes, coaches and community members) who have made significant contributions to the OCHS athletic program between 1970 and 2020.
Photos of the inductees are displayed on the wall of the main entry hall at OCHS, across from the main office.
There were no inductions last year, but Harold Benson, Nicole Bonner-Grant, George Gresham, Michael Goolsby, James Haynie, Craig Mathews, Nichole Raines and Latange Wise were inducted in 2024.
In 2022, Michelle Baughens Freeman, Derrick Gregory, Frederick Gresham, Bobby Mitchell, Leslee Smith, Sherri Smith and Loretta Stribling Smith were inducted.
There were 19 inductees in the inaugural class of 2019.
