Athens-based Rick Fowler Acoustic Band is back at Lexington’s Meson Park this year. The band, which plays a version of blues rock, will play at 7 p.m. Saturday, May 24. The show is free.

Local Roundup: Emergency agency to hold mass casualty exercise in June

The Oglethorpe County Emergency Management Agency will hold a mass casualty exercise from 10 a.m. to around noon on Saturday, June 7. Several emergency services will participate in the exercise, which will simulate a multi-vehicle collision.

Local Roundup: Bramblett to perform at Marigold Festival

Randall Bramblett will headline the music portion of the annual Marigold Festival, which will be held Saturday at Pittard Park. Bramblett, a longtime Athens musician, will cap the festivities, which include a parade, vendors and food trucks. The vendors will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
