Robert Lee Thaxton, 80, of Rayle, GA, died on May 28, 2023. Born at home in the Upper Flatwoods Community of Oglethorpe County, he was the son of the late Robert Carl Thaxton and Pearl Palmer Thaxton. Lee was also preceded in death by his niece Carla Thaxton Brown.

Shirley Ann Brown, 86, of Colbert, Georgia, died June 11, 2023. Shirley was the daughter of Bartow Partain and Mary Ruth King Partain.  She was a member of Sonlight Baptist Church where she attended for the majority of her life.

Linda Jane Moore Whitehead passed away May 28, 2023. She was born March 26, 1945 to the late Dennis "Foots" and Evie Lee Moore of Ila. She was the older sister to Dennis (Mahala) Moore of Colbert. She was a longtime member of Comer Baptist Church.
