Donnie F. Miller, 83, died on March 17, 2024 surrounded by his family at home in Athens.   Donnie was born on Feb. 3, 1941 in Rienzi, Mississippi to Earl and Annie Dee Rider Miller.

Obituary: Gylinda Lee Hill

Gylinda Lee Hill, 62, of Lexington died March 4, 2024. The funeral service was held at 12 p.m. Saturday, March 9 at New Bethlehem Baptist Church, with Pastor Rufus Whitlock, eulogist. Interment was in Fork Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.   Survivors include her soulmate, Leroy Perkins, Jr.

Obituary: Henry Franklin Sorrow

Henry Franklin "Frank" Sorrow, age 82, died peacefully on Feb. 21, 2024, after a brief hospital stay.   Frank was born on Dec. 31, 1941, at home in the Glade Community of Oglethorpe County. His parents were William Thomas “Tom” and Annie Louise Arnold Sorrow, also of Oglethorpe County.

Carl Ann Pass Ouzts, 86, of 1192 Country Club Road, Elberton, departed this life on Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2024, at her residence after a long illness.

Obituary: Ruby Augusta Carter

Mother Ruby Augusta Carter was born April 18, 1940, the third child of Lawrence and Dochia Williams, in Lexington. She attended Oglethorpe County Training School and graduated in 1959.   In 1970, she married John Henry Carter.
