Obituary: Paul Alphus Grimes

Paul Alphus Grimes, 89, of Crawford, passed peacefully into the arms of his Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, April 28, 2024. He was a lifelong resident of Oglethorpe County, where he was a member and honorary deacon of Welcome Avenue Congregational Holiness Church.

  Saniah Appling, 14, of Crawford, died April 19, 2024.    The funeral service was 1 p.m. Saturday, April 27, 2024 at New Grove Baptist Church in Winterville, with Pastor Elijah Swift, eulogist. Interment was in the New Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery.

Jacqueline “Jackie” Williford Kelly, 66, died April 5, 2024.    A native and lifelong resident of Augusta, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Gordon and Jacqueline Stokely Williford. She graduated from Westside High School in 1975 and attended Kerr Business College.
