Joan Lucille Marable, 87, of Stephens, died Feb. 4, 2024.    Born on Sept. 21, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Bertha Ward Nation and Fred Nation.   Joan was the epitome of a perfect homemaker, enjoying gardening, canning, sewing and crocheting.

It is with grace and gratitude that the children of Edna Stewart announce the passing of their mother on Jan. 23, 2024.    She was born in Oglethorpe County on July 20, 1935. She was the daughter of the late John Ralph and Katie Mae Carter Stewart.   Stewart had six brothers and sisters.
