Saniah Appling, 14, of Crawford, died April 19, 2024.    The funeral service was 1 p.m. Saturday, April 27, 2024 at New Grove Baptist Church in Winterville, with Pastor Elijah Swift, eulogist. Interment was in the New Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery.

Obituary: Jacqueline Williford Kelly

Jacqueline “Jackie” Williford Kelly, 66, died April 5, 2024.    A native and lifelong resident of Augusta, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Gordon and Jacqueline Stokely Williford. She graduated from Westside High School in 1975 and attended Kerr Business College.

Robert George Strickland Jr., 78, died peacefully on April 13, surrounded by his family and friends. As a devoted husband, father and grandfather, George loved the Lord, his family, his farm and his community.

Mrs. Tela Doris Cline King, 87, of Lexington died at her home on Saturday, March 30, 2024.  King was born on Sept. 16, 1936 in Bryson City, North Carolina, the daughter of the late Andrew Cline and the late Sally Cline.
